Key Responsibilities:

• Collection Development: Curate and maintain a diverse, relevant, and inclusive collection of resources that support our teachers in delivering the IB curriculum.
• Instruction and Collaboration: Carry out storytelling sessions, teach research skills, critical thinking, and academic integrity to students, and collaborate with teachers to integrate information literacy into the curriculum according to grade level needs.
• Library Management: Oversee daily library operations, including cataloging, circulation, and maintenance of library resources.
• Technology Integration: Leverage digital tools and platforms used by the school to enhance student learning and access to resources.
• Community Engagement: Foster partnerships with parents, teachers, and the wider community to promote literacy and learning, such as in school wide events (Book Fair).
• Professional Development: Participate in all academic meetings for ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in librarianship at Red House School

Education

• Degree in Library Science.

Experience

• At least 3 years of professional experience.

Languages

• English proficiency.

Technical Knowledge

• Experience working in an IB school or with the IB curriculum is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of library management systems and digital resources.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IB programmes (PYP, MYP, DP).
• Knowledge of curriculum design and assessment.
• Experience with technology integration in education.
• Fluency in English.
